MS Madencilik Tic. Ltd. Şti. ( M.S Mining Trade. Co.Ltd ) operates in relation to Mineral Exploration and Operation. Since 2003, it has been striving to be the pioneer of vermiculite productivity in Turkey and was officially established in 2005. And in 2010, the operation license was passed. In present , Turkey's first vermiculite mine operates in the Karakoçan district, in Yıldızeli/ Sivas.
Vermiculite (Karakoç-M.S Madencilik) mine was discovered by the Mining Technical Search (MTA) and at the beginning of the 1990's and its geological surveys were prepared.
This mineralization occurs as a result of cutting the ultramafic mass with alkaline vein rocks, which has a high functional and amphibole content such as parabola (South Africa) deposit.
As a result of field observations and evaluations made by the General Directorate of MTA, 2,750,000 tons of probable reservoir vermiculite with good expansion characteristics and 2,275,000 tons of vermiculite reserves with low quality 2,255,000 tons of vermiculite ore were identified as probable reserve vermiculite ore. Quality vermiculite ore has been detected in 10 different areas of 18.000 hectares of our land. Detailed work on a field of 130 acres is still underway at the identified points.
In the technological conducted tests, it has been revealed by independent organizations that the expansion ratio of it is between 13 and 18 times according to the ambient conditions, that the obtained material is suitable for the use of the industry according to the bulk density of the material obtained and that the expansion rate is increased compared to the Parabola ore when the temperature is increased.
As in the whole world, M.S Mining vermiculite production is carried out with open pit mines from existing mines. Additionally, the enrichment process of vermiculite ore that we extracted from M.S Madencilik ore (Karakoç vermiculite) which is in economical limits in terms of quality, grade and quantity is carried out again at M.S Madencilik Tesisleri (Mining Facility) in Turkey.

The current monthly production capacity of our company is 5,000 tons of vermiculite. By making new investments , we have been increasing quality and quantity of our production.
